The “You can make a change!” Strategic Partnership project in the field of Youth was prepared by Antares Foundation and Startup Greece under the Erasmus+ programme. The main aim of the project is to encourage groups of young citizens to actively participate in so-called ‘Participatory Budget ’ or ‘Civic Budget’. Many municipalities ask their citizens to vote for low-budget projects proposed by other citizens. This way the authorities try to increase the bottom-up participation in the local budget. Our project will help young people to develop their idea and actively participate in the local Participatory Budget. Everyone can make a change!

We are excited to announce our participation in the training of the “You Can Make a Change” project, which took place in Tripoli from the 29th of May to the 31st of May and was organized by Startup Greece. The activities were focused on project management training and the main aim was to foster civic engagement and encourage young citizens to actively participate in the Participatory Budget of local or regional authorities. We are thrilled for this collaboration and for the opportunity to expand our knowledge on the fields of marketing, dissemination, and evaluation of social projects.

As the local action we are going to conduct a contest for local young people. The best idea for a change based on the participating budget will be awarded with a series of workshops about a project preparation and management. The partner organisations will help young people to develop their idea, write a project and submit it to the next edition of the local participatory budget. In case of winning, the partner organisations will help in realisation of the idea.

Total Participation and Feedback:
In total, the workshops engaged 134 participants. The feedback was highly positive, with significant appreciation for the learning outcomes related to creativity, strategic thinking, and effective communication.
